This Valentine feels different to me.

For the first time, I am not looking outward. I am not projecting love, or searching for it, or asking to be seen through someone else’s eyes. I am falling in love with the person I have become.

This year has been a year of shedding. Of letting go of versions of myself that no longer fit. And in that process, I realized something simple and profound. Love does not begin with perfection. It begins with acceptance.

We spend so much time hiding parts of ourselves. The parts that feel messy. The parts that feel unfinished. The parts we label as flaws or mistakes. But those parts carry enormous energy. They are not weaknesses. They are the places where authenticity lives.

This Valentine, I am choosing to love the parts of myself I once tried to escape. Not to glorify them. Not to stay stuck in them. But to see them clearly and hold them with compassion. When you do that, something shifts. Your authenticity comes through. Your presence deepens. You stop performing and start inhabiting your life.

It reminds me of the way I create. My pieces are hand painted. They are not identical. They carry variation, texture, and imperfection. That is where their soul lives. That is what makes them real.

Valentine is not about becoming flawless. It is about being whole.

If there is anything I wish for you, it is this. Love yourself fully. Love what is becoming. Love what still feels tender. That is where your light shines from.

With love,

Ema
